Beginning January 12, 2016, Microsoft will only support the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system.
With Microsoft's "End of Life" notice for IE9 and IE10 on January 12, 2016, Ecocion will no longer support the IE9 and IE10 browsers.
What does this mean to me?
If you continue to use the IE9 or IE10 browser after the End of Life, some features/functionality may no longer work. Bugs or performance issues that appear only when using IE9 or IE10 will not be investigated or fixed by Ecocion.
Why are we ending support for IE9 and IE10?
As we evaluate which browsers to support, we consider which ones will give our users the best experience and enable us to focus on areas that will add the most value for customers. There are several key reasons that drove this decision:
- Microsoft is ending support. Microsoft has announced their End of Life for IE9 and IE10 on January 12, 2016.
- IE9 and IE10 are less secure. Trust and security are incredibly important to us at Ecocion. There have been multiple security vulnerabilities discovered in older browsers over the years, so we are upholding our security commitment to not support less secure browsers.
- IE9 and IE10 are not compatible with the newest technologies. Browsers that do not support the rich internet apps our customers have come to expect restrict our options for delivering the best and fastest experience.
- Our customers are moving to newer browsers. As our users trend towards newer browsers, we want to develop features that best serve our customer community.
