We are pleased to announce upcoming infrastructure and technology improvements for 2015. In the weeks leading up to 2014 greenhouse gas reporting, ACTS processed 6.25 million transactions per hour across all our database servers. As the performance demands for ACTS continues to grow, so must the ACTS infrastructure. These proactive upgrades will improve ACTS’ performance capability, reliability, and scalability for many years to come.
Over the upcoming months, Ecocion will gradually upgrade the ACTS infrastructure from our current data center to the Microsoft’s Azure platform. Azure is an enterprise-grade cloud computing, storage, data, and networking platform and is currently used by 50% of Fortune 500 companies. In the last six months, we have conducted trial migrations, stress testing, and user-acceptance testing to ensure a seamless upgrade. User access to ACTS will be minimally impacted during the upgrade.
This document explains the user impact of the upgrade, upgrade benefits, timing, and rollout schedule.
