Chemical Inventory

ACTS defines Chemical Inventory as a list of chemicals that are stored at a Facility.  Users have the ability to track storage, delivery volume, and usage on the Chemical Inventory page.  To access the Chemical Inventory page from the main menu, users may select the Operations module then Chemical Inventory.

The Chemical Inventory page is set up by areas rather than tabs.  Below is a list of areas found on the Chemical Inventory page:

Entering Data

The image below shows the Chemical Inventory page with the areas boxed:

  1. In order to access the areas, users must first enter the name or the first few letters of a Facility into the Facility field at the top of the screen.  A list of possible options will appear below the Facility field.  Select the desired Facility.

  2. Users can add information on the remaining areas by selecting the "Add a new row" icon (i.e., the icon shaped like a plus sign).  If data for multiple rows has been added, users may select multiple items by pressing and holding CTRL and selecting the items.  Users can delete a row by selecting the icon that looks like a trashcan, and they can insert a row by selecting the arrow icon.  For a visual list of the most common icons in ACTS, click here

  3. Enter all required information in the Chemicals Used And/Or Stored At This Facility area. Required fields are indicated by asterisks (*).  Note: If Chemicals/Compounds/Products are not entered in the Chemicals Used And/Or Stored At This Facility area first, the user will not be able to add data to the other areas.

  4. Once Chemicals/Compounds/Products have been entered, users can select a chemical from the Chemicals Used And/Or Stored At This Facility area.  Doing so will allow the user to enter chemical-specific data on the page.  In the screenshot below, the user has entered data in the GasFlo Storage area and can only enter data for the GasGlo chemical in the remaining areas.
